Mom and aunt Denise were starting to worry about them living on their own because they are kinda old. Denise's house is full of kids, Dawn and Finn live in a really small house and Zach lives in a tiny apartment so our house was the natural choice since Emily and Sara are at college. It's been nice having them here. Despite being old they're pretty cool about everything - even though I could probably live without seeing them kiss each other all the time.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><a name='more'></a>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Grandma and grandpa living with us also means that we now have a dog! I've wanted one for a long time but mom and dad weren't so thrilled about the idea. Grandma and grandpa made it very clear that they wouldn't move if Rolf wasn't welcome as well so here we are. He's a very good boy though and I think mom and dad like him too. I like taking him out on walks in the neighbourhood.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Talking about our neighbourhood, I've had a crush on our next door neighbour Ross for some time now but never in a million years did I think I'd actually get a chance with him. He was with Jeremy for a long time and he's a couple of years older so I thought he probably thinks I'm just a stupid kid next door. But then I saw him at Generation X one night and just decided to shoot my shot and ask him out on a date... and he said yes! We went to Exmoor Aqua Park for our first date and it was really great. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I'd never done like an official coming-out-of-the-heterosexual-closet thing with my parents but I did tell Emily and Sara a few months ago and they were really cool about it. Sara was like "well duh, the year before I went to college you were always ogling at Ross whenever he walked past our house!" Okay, fair. Emily and Sara said I should just tell mom and dad because they'd be cool about it too. So when dad asked where I'd been I told him I was on a date with Ross from next door. He just grinned and said "good for you!" I was a bit worried what grandma and grandpa would say but they too were super cool about it. I told grandma during breakfast one morning and she just said "that's wonderful sweetheart, he seems like such a nice young man". Mom and dad did kind of force me to invite Ross over for dinner but mom promised they'd be on their best behaviour and they were.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/alltheseyears006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I don't know if Ross and I are quite boyfriends yet because we've only been on a couple of dates but he's funny and cute.
Who knows what will happen to us especially after Ross goes to college but I'm having fun now so that's pretty awesome.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>Notes:</i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i>Title from "All these years" by Eva & Manu.</i></li><li><i>I thought I'd never update this blog again because real life has been crazy. I don't think I've ever been so anxious as I was during Erin's pregnancy. The miscarriage before really did a number on us both. I'm so happy that Matthew is here, he's healthy and we can finally breathe a sigh of relief and just enjoy this precious time.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I took a month of paternity leave now and will take the other month a bit later. Erin and I try to give Naomi as much attention as before because she's used to being the "little" one in our family. So far it's gone well, she doesn't seem at all jealous of Matthew.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Iona is obviously a big help. She's used to being the big sister to younger kids in both of her homes. She usually makes sure that Naomi gets breakfast in the morning and is ready for the school bus. One morning Iona came downstairs and said that Naomi was sick. "She's really warm and her cheeks are really red."</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Naomi was indeed sick, she had a fever and was really tired but luckily it only lasted a couple of days. </div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">We celebrated with a nice meal together - well, unfortunately it was Erin's turn to cook and she's not that good at it. We all tried to keep a straight face and just eat but Erin was the first one to call the food "disgusting".</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Naomi's become friends with Michael Robinson who lives next door. I think he's a year younger than her but they seem to get along really well.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Matthew is such a joy. So far he's been a fairly easy baby. Mostly he just eats, sleeps and poops but he's started to stay awake long enough for us to actually bond with him.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions010.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Erin's on maternity leave but she likes to keep up-to-date with the office so usually participates on a Zoom meeting every now and then and checks her emails. Her boss has told her that her job is there waiting for her but I guess she just wants to work a little bit.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions011.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">She's also started painting which is nice. She's surprisingly good too. We already hung one of her paintings in our bedroom.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions012.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Still, she really enjoys spending time with Matthew. She already told me that she'd really like another baby - obviously not quite yet but in the rather near than distant future. I love kids - especially ours - so I'm definitely on board whenever she feels ready.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions013.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions013.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Iona absolutely adores all her little siblings. She can be a bit mouthy sometimes but she's great with the kids.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions014.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions014.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I try to help her with her homework - not that she really needs help but it's nice to spend some time with her too.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions015.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/dandelions015.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I'm not her dad but I've known her since she was 4 years old and I love her just as much as I love Naomi and Matthew. She's a great kid and we're going to miss her so much when she goes to college in a couple of years.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>Notes:</i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i>Title from "Dandelions" by Ruth B.</i></li><li><i>I can't believe it, this was Iona's last update in this household! <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife002.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">Kaitlyn is busier than ever with her fourth and last year of doctorate studies so we try to make the most of the little free time we actually get to spend together. One of our favourite things to do is walk to the park nearby and sit on the bench and talk.</div><div left=""><br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">We're trying to save money for a house so we don't go out very often. Sometimes it's nice to have a meal that neither of us had to buy though. The Four Leaf Clover has become our favourite spot for a brunch because it's near and cheap. The food's pretty good too.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">I work the evenings and don't usually bother cooking lunch for myself when Kaitlyn's at work. It's actually quite boring to be working evenings because all my friends are at work. Zach lives in the same building but I rarely see him. He's on his third year in medical school and he basically lives and breathes studies now.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">One of my favourite things to do in the mornings is do the crossword puzzle. Aaron called me a grandpa when he heard about this. What's wrong with doing the crossword puzzle, I say?!</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">Sometimes I wonder off to the nearby café and buy an overpriced cup of coffee. Which is not exactly in my budget but I get stir-crazy if I stay in our apartment all day. I finally convinced Kaitlyn not to take more student loan so I paid for her last tuition and we're going to pay off her existing loan together. Hopefully then we can start saving for our own house because I've pretty much had it in that tiny apartment.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">I've been thinking about taking Kaitlyn on a vacation somewhere when she finished her doctorate. As much as I'd like to take her somewhere luxurious I know the 5-star hotels are out of our price range and most likely we'll end up staying in a tent somewhere. But still, I want to do something huge for her graduation because she deserves something really nice after working so hard.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">Kaitlyn is usually working on her dissertation with her headphones on when I come home from work. I usually watch TV for a while waiting for her to finish for the night.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">I try to be supportive but honestly I can't wait for her studies to be over! I love her and I'm proud of her but also I want my girlfriend back. Even when she's not writing or reading you can tell her brain is constantly working on something. She's also teaching a few science courses at the moment as part of her studies so it's like never-ending work.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife010.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">Still, I try to be as considerate as I can and pamper her however I can. A bubble bath, a back rub - that's something I can do that doesn't cost a thing. All her hard work is paying off anyway. Her boss has been really impressed with her work and has promised that she'll get to lead her own projects once she graduates.</div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/youarethesunshineofmylife011.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div left="">All in all, life is pretty good even if it is a bit hectic at the moment. I feel like after this year we're finally free to do whatever we want and that's awesome - as long as we do it together.</div><div left=""><br /></div><div left=""><br /></div><div left=""><i>Notes:</i></div><div left=""><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i>Title from "You are the sunshine of my life" by Stevie Wonder.</i></li><li><i>Kaitlyn pretty much goes to work, writes her dissertation (a novel), eats and sleeps. Lather, rinse, repeat. But it's her final year and then she's going to be Doctor of Science. She's now working as a Science Teacher (level 4) which is the highest position to have without a doctorate. I plan to pump her up to the next level next year when she graduates.</i></li><li><i>As much as I like this apartment building and the tiny units I think Stephen and Kaitlyn are ready to move into their own home and maybe start a family at some point. I don't see them moving out of Exmoor though so who knows when they can afford a place. Hopefully soon!</i></li></ul></div>

I gladly chose working on the farm instead of trying to get a job elsewhere. I don't mind actually. I mean it's a lot of hard work but it's kind of cool to think that we grow food for our own family and probably at least like half the town as well. Dad and I usually go over some farm stuff during dinner so I know what I'm supposed to do after school the next day.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"></div>
<a name='more'></a><p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div data-en-clipboard="true" data-pm-slice="1 1 []">I usually work in the greenhouse after coming home from school. I'm actually allowed to plant vegetables now instead of just getting rid of the weeds or fertilizing the plots with the compost.</div><div data-en-clipboard="true" data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I also sometimes make something to eat if mom and dad are late at work. Mom was just promoted to a Commander - she's the highest ranking female officer in the history of Wellington Armed Forces. Sometimes she has meetings in the evening although most days she comes home at the same time with Emma.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I really don't see the point of slaving away with my school home work when I will most likely take over the farm at some point and therefore won't go to college.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Mom's pretty determined about me getting a "proper education" though. She says that even if I did take over the farm it would be wise to go to college because that would help with the actual business part of the farm. I guess she has a point because I've heard dad moan about the bookkeeping and marketing plans and whatnots.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Obviously I'm not the only one who could take over the farm but it'll be a few years before mom and dad will even let Beck go inside the greenhouse - they haven't forgotten about the time Emma - about 3 years old at the time - "helped" and pulled out a row of cucumber plants.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">She's gotten a lot bigger now though. She's already sometimes helping around at the greenhouse. Obviously not doing any of the heavy stuff but pulling weeds out and gathering stuff for the compost - stuff I used to do just last year. I think she might be interested in working on the farm too. It's just that I don't have any big career plans and I think I'd be happy to stay here and keep the business alive.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">It's a bit early to talk about taking over the farm anyway because obviously dad will not retire anytime soon. On Saturdays I go to the Farmer's Market with him and I just don't think I'd ever be as smooth sales person as he is. He chats up the customers, makes sure everything's in order and just gets people to buy our stuff.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue010.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I'm learning to handle the cash register and sometimes I feel embarrassed for being so bad at it! I can tell the customers think I'm a total loser even though they never say anything to my face. Hopefully I can get better at this before I alienate all of our customers.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue011.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">My free time starts when we get back home from the Market in the early afternoon since dad says I don't have to work in the gardens on weekends. I sometimes get back to bed to take a little nap after we get home or just lounge in my bed reading. Mom and dad bought me a bigger bed some time ago which me and Skye take full advantage of some afternoons after school if she doesn't have to work and dad and his employee are at the Market.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue012.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Saturday night I usually watch a horror movie with mom when Beck and Emma are sleeping. It has become our tradition ever since I've been old enough to watch any of the good stuff. Dad's not a big fan of horror movies so he usually either watches some cop show or movie on his computer or plays some shooter game or something.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue013.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue013.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Sometimes I sneak out with some of my friends after mom and dad have gone to bed. Not often though because I really don't want to push my luck. I think I would probably be grounded for all eternity if I was caught. It's fun though. We don't do anything bad, just hang out together and shoot the breeze.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue015.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/isittrue015.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I usually spend Sundays with Skye. Obviously we see each other at school and are sometimes able to steal a few moments after school but other than that we're pretty busy, me at the farm, she working at her grandma's lab. It's nice to just unwind and spend time together.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><i>
Notes:</i><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i>Title from "Is it true" by Tame Impala.</i></li><li><i>Todd strikes me as someone who doesn't really have any big career ambitions. I'll have to see what Emma will be like when she ages but at the moment it seems that it might be Todd who takes over the farm eventually. I definitely want to keep it in the family. Who knows, it might end up with all three siblings working together instead of just one of them.</i></li><li><i>This was Todd's last household update as a teenager! However I think it might be suitable for Todd - he could study the practical side of business studies (cashiering, restocking and sales techniques) for two years and then start working on the farm.</i></li><li><i>I'm trying to keep up with a steady flow of updates by updating once a week. It was a pretty awkward first couple of weeks. I ended up sleeping on the floor of Sara's room most nights so my room mate could have the room for herself. Luckily they were able to correct the situation pretty quickly. While I was okay with the thought of having a room mate, I got to say I'm happy I have my own room now.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>

Sara teases me relentlessly about my "hipster" hat that I refuse to take off unless I go for a swim. I'm really happy I was assigned to the same dorm with Sara. She's so much fun to hang out with.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">She has a "sort of a" boyfriend called Spencer. They're not officially a couple but he comes over a lot to study. Usually you can see them sitting in the small study area downstairs.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Then they go to "study" in Sara's room upstairs. Yeah right. I wasn't born yesterday. She says he's great but she's not currently looking for anything serious.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I haven't had much luck in love so far. I've been single since Julia and I broke up about 1,5 years ago and I wouldn't mind getting together with someone. I met this girl April at Lion's Roar one time and we really hit it off immediately.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I asked her out for dinner a few days later and then she dropped the bomb: she's gay. I mean good for her but not so much for me. I guess she figured out that I was kind of hoping we could be more than friends but she was really cool about it. "We can still be friends if you want" she said and I agreed.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Maybe I'm destined to just be friends with the cute girls I meet. I haven't met anyone else I'd get along with as well but it is what it is.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I'm not too bummed about my love life because studying at uni is so awesome! I ended up going on the ROTC program even though mom was really reluctant at first. She finally gave up after she had a talk with uncle Sam who told her that first of all we're at peace and I'd most likely get to work on something connected to my major.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode010.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I ended up choosing a double major in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Hopefully that's something I can work with in the military after graduation but my goal is a job at the SCIA as a tech agent.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode011.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I almost wept the first time I visited the Faculty of Technology building. They were building it when I first toured the campus so it's brand new and so high tech I was afraid to touch anything at first, LOL. The lecture hall, the computer labs, everything is just perfect!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/flightmode012.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">My favourite part of the building is definitely the Robotics Lab. Freshman year is pretty packed with theory - maths and physics mainly - but we're allowed to practice a little bit in the labs as well. I can't wait to get my hands on all the cool equipment and really start building something. It'll be awesome!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Grades, Spring semester 2028</b></div><div style="text-align: left;">- Sara: Dance (Drama), A+, GPA 3.5</div><div style="text-align: left;">- Riley: Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence (Physics), B+, GPA 3.3</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div><i>

We also wanted to welcome Riley to university so we decided to throw a joined birthday party for him and me. Throwing a party at a dorm is not exactly acceptable but people do it anyway because usually the RAs let it slide. We only invited Frieda's boyfriend Blake, Sara and Riley and also Frieda's nephew Todd and his girlfriend Skye. Mind you, Todd and Skye are only 16 but we figured our party would be tame enough for highschoolers. <div><br /><a name='more'></a><p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">And it was tame until some of the guys in our dorm carried a keg inside. Frieda was pretty excited about it at first but soon realized it meant she would end up spending most of the party keeping an eye on Todd and Skye and making sure they didn't get anywhere near the keg. Aaron and I, well we had better things to do like making out the whole time.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><p></p>
<p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>Our party had barely begun when the campus cop drove up to the dorm and told us that it was time for our guests to go home. Luckily he didn't card anyone because I'm sure Todd and Skye would've been taken home in a police car and we would've been expelled (or killed by our parents). We agreed that next time we'd have a party without any minors so none of us would get in trouble in case someone called the cops again.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>I try to go home at least once a month and nowadays Sara joins me whenever she can. Being a freshman she's not involved in any big dance projects on campus yet but they do have recitals on some weekends and she also likes to practice whenever she can. My birthday's in March so we had a little low-key celebration. Just some good food and cupcakes that mom had luckily bought and didn't attempt to make herself. It's not that she's a terrible cook but baking is really not her forte.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>It's sometimes hard to believe that Jesse is already 15 and in high school. It feels like the last few years have been kind of a blur and somewhere along the way my little brother grew up to be a teenager. He's already about as tall as me and he just isn't a kid anymore. He's obviously started to get interested in girls and boys as he told me and Sara confidentially. He's not quite ready to tell mom and dad yet but I know they'll be totally ok with it when he finally gets the courage.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>Things with Aaron are going so well that sometimes I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, always expecting the worse I guess. We know each other so well and I guess some people could find that boring since there's not much new to discover about each other but there's also this insane chemistry between us. I wasn't ready to go "all the way" before and I guess I was kind of waiting for Aaron to just sweep me off my feet so I wouldn't have to make the decision. Of course he wouldn't, he knew I wasn't ready so he waited until I was.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have my first time with. Well, our first time. We finally did it after a fun night at the Circus. It was a bit awkward at first and we were trying to be as quiet as possible but in the end I just thought it was beautiful. Except for the fact that I had to sneak out of Aaron's room before dawn so we wouldn't get caught. I can't wait to move out of a dorm and into our own apartment after graduation.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>Life in university can't be all fun and games though. My schedule is nothing compared to Frieda's since she has an insane amount of practices and games on top of all her actual school work but it's still a lot of work. Frieda always teases me that she wouldn't be able to stay awake for more than 5 minutes if she had to listen to professors drone on and on about psychology. I love it though.</div><div> <p></p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/soundthealarm010.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 375px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>I feel like I have really found my true calling in psychology and I love learning more every day. I work hard and I'm really happy with how my studies are going even though I definitely don't get A's on all my assignments. It's a lot of work but it's easier to keep going when it's something you really like doing. I really want to do well though because I already know that I want to apply to the Master's program after graduation. Hopefully I can get in even though it means 2 more years of studying before I actually get to do the real work.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Grades, Spring semester 2028:</b><br />- Aaron: Political Science, B+, GPA 3.8</div><div>- Emily: Psychology, A+, GPA 3.5</div><div>- Frieda: Public Administration, B+, GPA 3.3<br /><p></p>

My old PC has reached a state where it takes about 10 - 15 minutes to even get the thing running so I haven't actually even started the PC for weeks, let alone tried loading my game. I have a laptop for studying and light gaming but I doubt that it would run TS2 and I don't have the time and energy to install the game + all the EPs to even try.</p><p><br /></p><p>I will leave the blog as it is for now and maybe at some point if I'm able to afford to buy a proper gaming PC I will give my sims another try but for the unseeable future this blog will not be updated. It kind of breaks my heart to write this but it is what it is.</p><p><br /></p><p>Thank you for all the years you've stayed with me and my sims. Just hit me up in twitter or via email if you have any questions or just want to talk for old times sake. Or leave a comment here (I will try to remember to check if there are new comments from time to time).</p><p><br /></p><p>Lots of love,</p><p>Sari</p>Sarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08475614188928695076noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103057497904879970.post-11841939062978577972020-10-18T14:30:00.030+03:002020-10-18T17:01:52.163+03:00Shadow love<p style="text-align: center;"><b>Round 17: February 2028</b></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><i><a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.fi/2007/12/gabriel-domingo.html">Gabriel Domingo</a> is 28, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.fi/2007/12/drake-domingo.html">Drake</a> is 2 and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/eve-midlock.html">Eve Midlock</a> is 27.</i></p>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove001.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove001.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a>
<div>Narrated by Eve.</div><div><br /></div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove002.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> <div>My pregnancy wasn't exactly a planned one - far from it - but I couldn't love Drake more if I tried. Things with Gabriel were a bit complicated at first, mostly due to my issues with commitment, but I think we're doing alright. Marriage and children have never been very high on my list of things I want in the future but being in a committed relationship isn't as bad as I thought. </div><div> <br /><div>
<a name='more'></a>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove003.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div>I just got back to work and honestly I feel so old. I was away for over 2 years and I feel like there are dozens of new younger girls trying to make their way to principal dancers. I can practically taste the judgment from the ballet master for my audacity to get pregnant instead of sacrificing myself to the altar of dance. For her nothing in life matters if it doesn't involve dance and anything that can take time away from dance is nonsense. Being away obviously means that I had to start over again from the bottom and really work my ass off in hopes of actually being cast in any productions. I try to practice at home as much as I can but with a walking, talking one-year-old it's not that easy. Usually I end up entertaining Drake rather than getting to do anything other than a few stretches here and there. </div><div> <br /><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove004.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div><div>We really like our apartment but it's not exactly a dream environment to raise a child in. The neighbours can be extremely loud and even if our bedroom and Drake's room are on the other side of the apartment it still irritates me so much when I hear the music from the other side of the wall. We've talked about buying a small house. It would mean taking a mortgage but we think it would be worth it. Just a little house with a little garden for Drake to run around in and our own space without annoying neighbours. Houses in Wellington and especially in Allerdale would be cheaper but I can't imagine moving there, at least not Allerdale, it's such a small town, more like a village, and I would die of boredom. Not that my social life is exactly thriving at the moment but still, I couldn't imagine living in a small village in the countryside.</div><div><br /></div><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove005.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div><div>Date nights usually mean a quick homemade dinner and making out in front of the TV after Drake has gone to bed. On Valentine's Day however Gabriel had booked a babysitter and a table at a nearby restaurant. It was really nice to get out of the house for once and the fact we both happened to have a night off was a miracle. </div><div><br /></div><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove006.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div>I wasn't expecting a proposal at the end of our dinner. Gabriel looked so nervous and I, well I was surprised by what I felt. I didn't feel panicked, I didn't feel like running away or turning it into a joke. I looked into his eyes and just said what I knew I wanted to say: yes. As much as a full-on commitment scares me, I know there's no one in the world - at least at this moment - that I'd rather do it with.</div><div><br /><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove007.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div>We both agree that this will probably be a very long engagement because we're not really that anxious to get married. I see the engagement as an announcement of Gabriel's promise to be there for me and as my promise to be there for him. We don't need a marriage licence for that. We both agree that our main target now is to get us a small house somewhere. The wedding will happen at some point if it's meant to be.</div><div><br /><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove008.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> </div><div>One of the reasons I love Gabriel so much is that he's such a good father to Drake. Having grown up without a father myself I really want Drake to have both his parents in his life. It all turned out alright with me but I don't think <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/anthony-midlock.html">dad</a> and I will ever be as close as he is with his other kids.</div><div><br /><div>
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/shadowlove009.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a> <div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div>I know Gabriel would probably get married tomorrow if I even hinted at that but he doesn't pressure me at all which makes it a lot easier for me to stay calm and not panic about being engaged. I don't know if we'll be together for always but for now it feels good.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><i>Notes:</i></div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i>Title from "Shadow love" by Anthony da Costa.</i></li><li><i>Long time no see. It has been an anxiety-ridden pregnancy for Erin due to her devastating miscarriage a year earlier. Luckily Dr Williams is able to give them some good news - everything seems to be fine.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Erin and Toby are very relieved and happy. Maybe now they can finally relax enough to actually start enjoying this pregnancy instead of worrying about what might go wrong.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
A couple of days later <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/brooke-harper.html">Brooke</a> has come to the hospital for her scheduled C-section to deliver her triplets. The hospital has prepared for the delivery by gathering a team of doctors from near-by hospitals in addition to its own staff. To be honest Brooke kind of wants to shoo everyone away and keep the babies in her womb for eternity but that's really not an option.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/grace-robinson.html">Dr Cooper</a> leads the team of surgeons and Dr Williams's team is in charge of the babies once they are out. They assure that everyone and everything is ready for a safe delivery. <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/charlie-greene.html">Charlie</a> trusts the doctors but he can't help feeling extremely helpless and anxious.<br />
<br />
Luckily the team of doctors does an excellent job and the babies are born healthy. They will stay in the NICU for a few weeks until Brooke and Charlie can take them home. Brooke also has to stay in the hospital for a few days but she goes to see her babies as soon as she's allowed to move.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2028february005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke and Charlie have named the triplets <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/noah-greene.html">Noah Chase</a>, <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/isla-greene.html">Isla Marlene</a> and <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/milo-greene.html">Milo Charles</a>. Brooke would give anything to just be able to pick her babies up and go home but for now she's just happy to see them do well.<br />
<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><i>Yay, the Greene triplets are here! They got 2 boys and 1 girl and they all have dark skin, red hair and light blue eyes. Noah's middle name comes from Brooke's late father Chase who never got to see Brooke's children. I can't wait to see these babies grow up. The original Greene triplets (Charlie, Janie and Dixie) have always been some of my favourite sims.</i></li>
<li><i>Everything's going fine with Erin's pregnancy, I've been maxing out all her motives whenever I see her LOL.</i></li>

<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm not going to lie, I wasn't exactly thrilled to sell our house in Exmoor and move to Allerdale. But I can't really be unhappy about it, not with the way things have gone ever since. Danny and I are doing so much better now and I think that's very much due to us being in a good place financially. We've almost debt-free now and can actually breathe a lot easier nowadays without having to worry about how we are going to make ends meet.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The kids also are thriving. All our kids are pretty outgoing and it's easier to have friends over when most families with children live either here or in Wellington.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We have something resembling a schedule for weekdays to get kids to school and keep everyone fed but weekends are pretty much free range. The kids love to sleep in. Not too late but they don't have to get up before the sun if they don't feel like it.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
There's a really nice park near by and we go there almost every Saturday. I'm not so keen on going on playgrounds because I find them so boring for adults. The park has nice activities for pretty much everyone so I actually like going there. Never thought I'd enjoy ice skating but it's actually quite fun.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Bridget loves playing with Lucas and Molly in the playground and I'm so glad to see them get along so well. I can't believe she'll start high school in a couple of years. And then it'll just be a short moment for Lucas and Molly to become teenagers too. It's crazy to think sometimes that in a few years Danny and I are going to be parents of three teenagers when it feels like we're just barely out of college ourselves!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The park doesn't have a restaurant but there's a small food stand where you can get hamburgers and other fast food. Usually fast food is not exactly my cup of tea but after playing outside in the cold for a couple of years it's nice to eat something warm.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The kids obviously love the indoor games as much as playing outside as well. Hopefully now that we're financially more balanced we can start actually buying fun stuff for home too instead of just trying to get all the necessities.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We took a bus to Exmoor after leaving the park and visited Charlie, Brooke and Ava. Brooke's now about 7 months pregnant with their triplets and she's been on bed rest for a couple of months now. She was complaining about it before but now she says that moving around isn't much fun anyway so she's happy to just either lay in bed or sit propped up on pillows on the sofa. Her C-section is scheduled for early February and doctors have been pretty much on stand-by for a few weeks now in case she goes into labor. The babies will most likely have to stay in the hospital since they'll be born prematurely. I reminded her that if they need anything we'd be happy to help.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Charlie and Brooke recently decorated Ava's room, she's on the third floor now and turned her old room into a nursery for the triplets. Our kids absolutely love playing with Ava and it's hard to drag them out of there. It'll be interesting to see how Ava adapts to being a big sister. She says she's really excited but she's been an only child for 4 years now and it might not be easy to not be the center of her parents' attention all the time.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole011.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm sure Danny gave Charlie some good pointers. In honesty I think they just talked about sports and drank beer but it's more fun to imagine them exchanging tips about raising children.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole012.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Danny and I both got promoted just recently. He's now the lead designer in his studio and I was made senior manager. We sometimes have to work at home when the kids have gone to bed but it's a small prize to pay for a bigger salary and the opportunity to leave the office at a reasonable hour.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole013.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/hereandwhole013.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Sundays are dedicated to family though. I know mom would probably be appalled to see us lounging around in our pajamas until afternoon but Danny and I are more laid-back and the kids love it when we're in no hurry. I've even learned how to make waffles for breakfast so Sunday brunch is usually our favourite meal of the week. I never imagined I would be happy being back in Allerdale and thought I'd miss the buzz of the city much more but life is pretty wonderful at the moment.<br />
<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><i>Title from "Here and whole" by Joan Shelley.</i></li>
<li><i>As said, Janie and Danny both got promoted during this play session and they have paid their mortgage almost completely, I think they have about €2.000 of debt right now so they'll most likely be able to pay that off next time.</i></li>
<li><i>I mentioned at N99 that I´d like to modify the salaries of some careers to make them more realistic but I don't really know where to start. It just doesn't make sense to me that Danny makes a lot more money than Janie and she's supposed to be the senior manager of a big successful corporation and he's the lead designer in a graphic design studio. Oh well, I guess I have to do some research.</i></li>
<li><i>Next up is February birthdays and the birth of the Greene triplets! I can't wait to see Charlie and Brooke's babies.</i></li>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/AvaLorelei2C.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/AvaLorelei2C.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/ava-greene.html">Ava Greene</a> turns 4 this year. She's really excited about starting school but she's even more excited about becoming a big sister. Her mommy has <i>three</i> babies in her belly and they'll be born any minute now.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/BrionyChristabel2C.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/BrionyChristabel2C.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/briony-newman.html">Briony Newman</a> has a lot in common with Ava. She's also turning 4 and starting school and there will be a new baby in her family this year too - although just one, not three!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/MichaelHenry2C.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/MichaelHenry2C.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Little <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/michael-robinson.html">Michael Robinson</a> is also starting school this year which means he gets to spend more time with his big brother Tim.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/ConnorTroy3T.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/ConnorTroy3T.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/connor-harper.html">Connor Harper</a> is one of the four new students at Wellington High School this year. Connor isn't too bothered about starting high school but he thinks it might be fun.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/DaneChandler3T.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/DaneChandler3T.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Naturally Connor's twin brother <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/dane-harper.html">Dane</a> is joining him in Grade 7. Teachers should be on the look-out for these two, they can be quite mischievous at times.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/JamesDean3T.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/JamesDean3T.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/james-cooper.html">James Cooper</a> is pretty outspoken as well but he's more of a serious bookworm type. James's <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/sam-cooper.html">dad</a> is secretly hoping that James will follow in his footsteps and join the army one day but James will more likely pursue a more academic career.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/LinaAddison3T.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/LinaAddison3T.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/lina-marlowe.html">Lina Marlowe</a> is the last of her siblings to start high school and her sisters and brother have told her all about it so she already knows what to expect. Lina is a pretty ambitious girl so she's very likely to keep up her good grades even in the turmoils of teenage hormones.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/RileyEdwin4YA.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/RileyEdwin4YA.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/riley-cooper.html">Riley Cooper</a> has moved to Brixton University but he hasn't picked a major yet. His mom was able to talk him out of entering the ROTC program but luckily Riley did pretty well on his WAS score so his parents will only have to cough up half-tuition. Riley lives in the same dorm with his cousin Sara.<br />
<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<ul>
<li><i>It is officially year 2028 in Wellington! The sim profiles as well as the student index have been updated for the new year. You may notice that I no longer post the sims's lifetime wants in their profiles. This is for the simple reason that I don't really pay that much attention to the LTW anymore. For some sims they might be spot-on but for some they don't make sense at all so they don't get to determine my sims' lives.</i></li>
<li><i>I've also updated the City Council page since Elissa Cooper retired from the police force last year. Her place in the Council has been taken over by Anthony Midlock who now holds the highest position in the Law Enforcement career.</i></li>
<li><i>In celebration of the new year we also have a new banner for the blog starring <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/nick-harris.html">Nick Harris</a>.</i></li>
<li><i>Once again I have come to hate my dorm buildings. The lots and the buildings are too big so I might either download a Maxis makeover dorm or just redo one myself to get a bit more compact lots for my students to live in. Also Riley is currently assigned to a double room and his room mate is a girl so there's also that to consider LOL.</i></li>
<li><i>Last but not least: I hope everyone is safe during the pandemic!</i></li>

<b>Round 17: December 2027</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/alexandra-hayes.html">Alexandra Hayes</a> is 53, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/quinn-myerson.html">Quinn</a> is 51 and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/jeremy-hayes.html">Jeremy</a> is 16.</div>

<br />
Narrated by Alexandra.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
School is closed for the holidays and I feel like all Jeremy does all day is mope around the house all day. He broke up with <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/ross-cooper.html">Ross</a> in the spring and I think he's regretting it a bit. He's been out on a few dates with <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/iona-fielding.html">Iona Fielding</a> who I suspect was at least part of the reason for the break-up but he hasn't been going out at all lately.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I finally put my foot down and told him that he can't just stay cooped up in the house all day so at least now he gets up from the sofa a couple of times a day to walk the dog. He won't talk to me about it - I don't think many 16-year-old boys talk to their mom about their heartbreak - but I'm hoping that he'll talk to Aaron when he comes home from university for his holiday break.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

Quinn absolutely loves his job but he says a break is good. Teaching teenagers instead of little kids is more challenging but also rewarding. "It's the whole going crazy with hormones stuff that exhausts me" he often says. "Were we that crazy when we were young?" I always laugh and remind him that at least we were pretty stupid back then.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Aaron came home from Brixton and honestly sometimes it's hard to believe that he's technically an adult and Jeremy will go to college in about a year. When those two get together it's like I'm watching two little kids playing rough house.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We've sort of turned the third floor into a hobby/entertainment centre. Quinn convinced us to buy a poker table so he can invite "the guys" over - which means other middle-aged dads in the neighbourhood. Since our boys aren't exactly kids anymore we figured we might as well play a few rounds before Christmas dinner.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm not a great cook but I'm not completely useless either so I decided to go all-in with a turkey. Cooking is so much easier nowadays with internet because I just put on a cooking video which explained all the steps to cook the best turkey you've ever tasted.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We ate at candlelight and it was nice. The turkey was perfect and all the side dishes were good too. There's always a hint of sadness whenever we're all together because it makes us all miss Ethan so much but we have gotten used to it and just enjoy being together.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We did small gifts this year, we got Aaron a new phone and Jeremy a handheld game that he's been talking about. It's not like he doesn't have all possible games on his phone but he said that he still wants to get all the classics.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Jeremy misses Aaron so much. He tries to hide it but it's been more obvious since his break-up with Ross. Aaron told me that Jeremy's sad about the break-up even though he was the one to leave Ross but with that he didn't just lose a boyfriend, he lost two of his best friends. Obviously Ross but also his sister <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/madelyn-cooper.html">Madelyn</a> who understandably doesn't want to hang out with Jeremy anymore either. I hope the three of them can be friends again after some time has passed.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-011.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
It was great having Aaron staying with us. It's hard to think about Jeremy going to university after next year. Then Quinn and I will be all alone in this big house.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/christmaslights2027-012.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Quinn tells me we'll be fine. He says it'll be nice to have the house all to ourselves and I think in a way he's right. And who knows, maybe we can convince one of the boys to move back here once they're done with their studies. I try to stress so much about the future and instead enjoy the present.<br />
<br />

<li><i>Title from "Christmas lights" by Coldplay.</i></li>
<li><i>This wasn't an overly Christmasy update and I probably should have included at least Patrick and maybe Stephen and Kaitlyn but I was too lazy to do that LOL.</i></li>
<li><i>I can't believe this is Jeremy's last update as a teen! I was considering writing it from his perspective but I had already written out an outline from Alexandra's POV so I decided to stick with it. I haven´t decided what to do with the house yet. The third floor could be turned into a separate apartment pretty easily for one of the boys but it's not going to happen right now anyway. </i></li>
<li><i>A new year in Wellington is upon us so I´ll start updating the profiles and getting ready for January 2028 age-ups probably later today or tomorrow.</i></li>

<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/malia-newman.html">Malia Newman</a> has passed the 12-week mark on her pregnancy so she and <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/greg-newman.html">Greg</a> have told their closest ones that they're expecting. <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/iona-fielding.html">Iona</a> couldn't be more excited - she's going to get two new siblings this year!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027december002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027december002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/brooke-harper.html">Brooke Greene</a> is already on her third trimester and so far her triplet pregnancy has gone pretty well. However as a precaution she has been put on early maternity leave and strict orders from her obstetrician to rest as much as possible. It can get a bit boring but secretly Brooke is kind of enjoying getting to read it all the books she has on her to-read-list and catch up on all the TV shows she never has time to watch.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027december003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027december003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/charlie-greene.html">Charlie</a> does his best to keep Brooke company when he's at home. They are waiting for the birth of their triplets with mixed feelings - they're excited but also a little horrified. Brooke's due date is in March but most likely the babies will make their appearance before that.<br />
<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><i>Not much longer to go for Brooke and Charlie before the arrival of their triplets. I still have to get their house ready for 3 new babies.</i></li>
<li><i>Malia and Greg's baby is due in June 2028 - just one month after Erin and Toby's baby.</i></li>
<li><i>My hours at work have been cut back which sucks financially but on the other hand I get more time for my hobbies such as simming so it's not all bad. I'm hoping to crank out more updates soon.</i></li>

<b>Round 17: November 2027</b></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/greg-newman.html">Greg Newman</a> is 34, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/malia-newman.html">Malia</a> is 31, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/briony-newman.html">Briony</a> is 3, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/rhea-newman.html">Rhea</a> is 2 and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/iona-fielding.html">Iona Fielding</a> is 15.</i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter001.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter001.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<br />
Narrated by Greg.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Iona's such a big help when she's living with us. She's really into cooking so she's more than happy to get up early in the morning and cook breakfast before going to school. It's also nice to have an extra pair of hands with Briony and Rhea. Iona adores all of her little sisters and she's so excited about Erin's pregnancy.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
She's already a much better cook than me and Malia combined. Iona's talking about going into catering but at the moment she wants to go to college before getting a job. Her ultimate dream is to open her catering business and maybe a deli too.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Erin says there was a boy in the picture some time ago but apparently that didn't work out. At least she hasn't really been going out on the weekends and hasn't talked about anyone specific to me or Malia. Not that I'd really want to hear. It's hard enough to understand that she's definitely not a little girl anymore.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Being a father for the second and third time has been a lot easier. I was such a mess when Iona was born and I really regret missing so much of her first years. I've been trying to make it up to her and we have a great relationship now. I just don't want to repeat the same mistakes again this time.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Financially we're not in the best place. We took a huge mortgage to buy this house and despite our best efforts we haven't really been able to pay back as much as we'd like. We've had the online store for our products but Malia finally suggested that maybe we should set up a little shop in our work space to lure more customers.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
So I moved some stuff around, got some cheap shelves and we opened our little store. I don't have time to make as much pottery as I'd like with my full-time job so there's not much to sell. But so far it has been going surprisingly well.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We decided to concentrate solely on pottery in our store so I've been teaching Malia. Fashion is still her main passion but running the shop - as small as it is - is easier with us both making pottery.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Malia also decided to take some time off her day job. We haven't been actively trying but we're pregnant again! This pregnancy has already proven to be a difficult one. She's constantly tired and hungry so we figured that it would be best if she just stayed home with Briony and Rhea and worked on the pottery if she has the energy to do that. She's determined to also become a better cook.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
She told me that although she loves her job, she loves being home with the girls even more. Also this way we don't have to hire a nanny so it's all good. The kids love having their mommy at home all the time too.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/doesitmatter011.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
It's difficult to find time for ourselves but I think it's the same for all couples with small children and otherwise busy lives. And since money is tight we don't really feel like going out on a date even though Iona has said she could babysit. I still cherish the everyday romance, stealing a little kiss or just holding hands. Whatever life throws in our way I know we'll get through them together and to me that's more important than some extravagant romantic gesture.<br />
<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><i>Title from "Does it matter" by Janieck.</i></li>
<li><i>Yup, Malia is pregnant and the baby is due in June 2028. So two new siblings for Iona next year!</i></li>
<li><i>I've talked about how much I hate home businesses because there's no way to separate the household funds from the business funds but I think for this household it will actually work in their favour. Greg wasn't kidding about the huge mortgage - I think they still have about €50.000 to pay. So my plan is to make them have a home business until they hopefully get at least a couple of money perks to help them pay back at least some of the mortgage.</i></li>
<li><i>Malia didn't quit her job but she has a lot of vacation days due to babies so she's basically on a paid leave (also helping their financial situation).</i></li>

<b>Round 17: November 2027</b></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
My parents are really supportive about my art but at the same time they're on my back about being more active and spending time outdoors. Painting just makes me so happy that I don't really want to do anything else on my free time. But it's not like I bury myself in my room all the time. I do spend time with my family, we're just interested in different things.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'll never understand why Mom and Jared want to sit outside in our backyard and look at the stars but that's what they do if it's not too cold. Jared is convinced that eventually he will see a UFO if he keeps staring at the sky. Mom says the stars are beautiful which I agree on - but I can admire them from my bedroom window without freezing my ass off outside.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
He's a great kid though, always joking around and making me laugh. I love my little brother and sister so much even though they get on my nerves sometimes especially when they go to my room and mess up my paints or something.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm not allowed to go out on weekdays but on Saturdays I often go to Generation X to hang out with some friends. I was waiting for my friend Kyra outside the ladies' room and started talking to Liam Cooper. He's 15 and I think he's so cute. He probably thinks I'm just a stupid kid but it was nice talking to him. Even though I'm sure I blushed bright red at first and could barely get a word out of my mouth.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
None of his friends were around so he ended up joining me and Kyra for lunch. I think he and Kyra are like second cousins or something like that. I asked Kyra if Liam has a girlfriend and she said no. Not that it matters, it's not like he would want to date me.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Mama and Mom would never let me date a boy who's 2 years older - or anyone for that matter. We had the talk about boys last year when I started high school but they made it pretty clear I'm not allowed to date until I'm at least 15. I don't think it's going to be an issue anyway, I'm just happy they let me go out on my own and hang out with my friends.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/wewatchthestars009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Hanna's a bit more quiet than Jared but she's no wallflower for sure. She's really into nature stuff so I gave her the starfish and the pretty rocks I found on our island vacation a couple of years ago. She always makes me tell a story about how I found them - even though she was right there.<br />

As much as I love little siblings they can be a bit much sometimes especially when they start playing and running around the house. Luckily we have this climbing tower in our backyard so sometimes I just climb there to get a little peace and quiet if the weather is fine. Sometimes it's really nice to be alone with my thoughts.<br />

The baby is due in May 2028.<br />

Erin still can't help but worry a little after the devastating miscarriage she suffered just last December. She is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure this pregnancy goes smoothly so she is planning to talk to her boss about doing less hours at the office.<br />

<b>Round 17: October 2027</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/tina-grundstrom.html">Tina Robinson</a> is 39, <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/tim-robinson.html">Tim</a> is 6 and <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/michael-robinson.html">Michael</a> is 3.</i></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Kurt passed away last December and it hasn't been easy for anyone of us to get used to the fact that he's not here. I took some time off work both for my own and the boys' sake but at least to me getting back to our normal daily routines has helped dealing with the grief. Obviously the boys are still so small that even Tim barely understands the concept of someone dying but as time has gone by they both have started to understand that their dad isn't coming back.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I try to spend as much time with the boys as I can but I'm working long hours so in the mornings I wake them up, we have breakfast and then the nanny takes over when I go to work. Tim usually plays with Michael before he goes to school.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I felt really guilty about leaving the boys with the nanny which of course didn't make any sense because she has been working for us even before Michael was born. She gets along well with both boys. Kurt left us enough money so that I could pay off our mortgage and put aside some money for the boys' future. So financially we're doing alright even if everything else feels like falling apart most of the times.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The boys have been wanting a pet for a long time and I finally gave in. We decided to get a small dog and I even let the boys name her. So now we have a Jack Russell terrier called Waffle. The boys adore her and so far she's behaved pretty well so I don't have any complaints either.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/everybodybreaks006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Still it's not easy being the only adult in the house. With my work, the boys and all the household chores sleep is not very high on my list of things to do. Not to mention sleeping alone in our bed isn't exactly easy even when I actually get to go to lie down. Some days I feel like I'm barely functioning with the help of too much coffee. Rationally I know that the grieving process takes time but a big part of me that wishes there was a shortcut.<br />
<br />

<li><i>Poor Tina is really struggling, she's low on fun and energy almost all the time. All her wants seem to revolve around finding a new husband (flirt, go on date, fall in love) so she's constantly in a bad mood. I'm not opposed to the idea of her finding someone new but right now it's still too early.</i></li>
<li><i>I've decided to keep my play schedule for this round pretty much as it is but updates will most likely be short like this. It was actually kind of fun just play and take a few photos here and there.</i></li>

<b>Round 17: September 2027</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/sara-midlock.html">Sara Midlock</a> is 18.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>(<a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/emily-midlock.html">Emily</a> and <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/frieda-robinson.html">Frieda</a> are 19.)</i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow001.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow001.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I feel like I'm more used to the gruelling schedule now than I was during my first semester. I used to be totally exhausted every night but I've worked out a system that works for me. After our midday practise I often come back to the dorm, get some lunch and take a nap.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><br />
<img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The professors have promised us that especially during our junior and senior years there will be less theory and more dancing but in order to actually graduate we have to study too instead of just dancing all day. So for now on top of all the dance practice I still have to finish my written assignments and term papers. It helps that mom and dad brought my ballet bar from home and dad installed it in my dorm room so now I can do some basic training in my own room.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
It's been fun hanging out with Emily again. She went a little crazy after Ethan's death and I know that I probably could've been more supportive at times but then again she was out of line most times. It's much better now. I can't say I was really surprised about her and <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/aaron-hayes.html">Aaron</a> after I'd seen them together a few times before they actually got together.<br />
<br />
Frieda also has a boyfriend and now it seems like their life mission is to find me a man. I try to tell them that I'm perfectly capable of finding someone if and when I want to. I was actually chatting online with this guy from Allerdale and it was fun. Our messages were getting quite flirty but then I mentioned that I'm a freshman and he was a bit shocked to realize I'm actually only 18. So the flirting sort of died down after that but we still talk as friends. I think he's about 25 so it's not like he's decades older but I can understand why he sees it's too much. Not to mention my dad would totally freak out if I had a 25-year-old boyfriend. Oh well, I'll continue to chat to him as a friend and keep the flirting to a minimum.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I told Frieda about it and she was adamant that I should stick to guys my own age. It's just that they all seem so childish. It feels like most of the guys in my dorm are these meathead fratboy-wannabes who only care about sports, partying and sex. It's not like I expect them to be completely mature - I know I'm not either - but they act like children most of the times.<br />
<br />
So I've decided to take a break from dating. It's not like I need a man to fulfill my days anyway. I have plenty enough on my plate with my studies and dance practices and upcoming performances. Sometimes I just miss the times when I was with Freddie. I don't think I'm even missing him, just the feeling of being with someone.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
There are other students living in my dorm but they're all strangers. They all seem nice and I hang out with them a bit but I have to admit that at times I feel kind of lonely. Luckily that'll change next year because the university has started assigning next year's freshmen into their dorms and Riley was assigned to mine!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Riley came to Brixton for a tour on the campus and I volunteered to be his guide for the day. Obviously we checked out the faculty buildings but fun stuff is important too so I took him to hang out at Circus.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Obviously we had to have burgers at Betty's diner before Riley's bus to Wellington left. I explained to Riley that burgers at Betty's is like a mandatory thing at least once in a semester. It'll be so much fun when he moves here in a few months.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
My no-dating rule didn't last very long after all. I met Spencer at the student union one day and we hit it off immediately. At first it was just friendly banter and sharing our views about music and movies and such but it's been getting a bit flirtier since.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/happynow010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
He eventually asked me out on a proper date and took me to Exmoor to have dinner at Casa di Mama. I don't know if it's going anywhere beyond casual dating but he's fun to be with so I might as well just keep going.<br />

<li><i>I've had a draft of this update half done for a long time but then I just decided to power through the rest and get an actual update ready. <li><i>I don't know if anyone's even reading this blog anymore because I rarely update but I still haven't given up on this hood. <b>Round 17: September 2027</b></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/aaron-hayes.html">Aaron Hayes</a>, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/emily-midlock.html">Emily Midlock</a> and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/frieda-robinson.html">Frieda Robinson</a> are 19.</i></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I don't have any sisters so I wasn't really prepared to all the aspects of living with girls. I mean, I thought pillow fights only happened in movies but I've witnessed Emily and Frieda having pillow fights in their underwear at least twice. Whenever I catch them they just laugh and ask me to join them!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Things with Emily are going really well. We've had a similar schedule this semester so we've been able to spend a lot of time together. We've been friends for so long that we know each other through and through but it's still been a whole new thing to have her as my girlfriend.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Sara's been hanging out at our dorm a lot more than last semester and Emily's been helping her with her studies. I sometimes sit down with them to study but I try to give them some space so they can spend time together. I think Sara's a bit lonely at her dorm even though she says she's been getting to know the other students living there. We're hoping next year their cousin <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/riley-cooper.html">Riley</a> will get assigned to her dorm so there'd be at least one familiar face for both of them.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I've been hanging out with some of the other guys that live in our dorm. Poker is 100 % not allowed in the dorms but we sometimes play for money when we take charge of the mahjong table. Not that we'd ever play for big sums - it's just for fun.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Frieda has a really crazy schedule. She finally declared her major last semester and we've been having a lot of the same courses and lectures this semester. On top of that she's now usually in the starting line in the soccer team so she has a lot practices and games too. Sometimes she doesn't come to the dorm until around midnight but I think she probably spends time with her boyfriend too so it's not all work and no fun for her.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Despite being together for a few months now Emily and I aren't in any rush to take the final step in our physical relationship - if you know what I mean. Well, to be honest I would probably jump to bed with her in a heartbeat but just being together feels good too.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
She also sometimes helps me with my assignments which is great because she always has good suggestions when I get stuck on writing. I can totally see her working in the psychology field as a counselor or something.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We all did really well on our final exams this semester so we decided to go out for a brunch to celebrate not only the end of school year and Sara surviving first year in college! The Lion's Roar lately started serving cheap food as well as their usual cheap beer so the place is usually even more packed than it was before.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Sara's the only single in our group now and Emily and Frieda kept telling her to check out "all the cut guys" and asking if she wanted them to set her up with someone. "Thanks guys but I can take care of my love life all by myself" she said. I got the feeling she already has someone she's interested in but doesn't want to tell everyone.<br />
<br />

We've been lazing off now that the classes are over so it's a lot of video games and bad movies. We're hoping next year our schedule will be more suitable to actually go out or invite people over. This semester we had so many late lectures that we'd have to go party in the afternoon if we wanted to.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/stargazing012.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Emily and I usually sneak off the make out in my room but there's no chance of her spending the whole night there. The dorm RA keeps everyone on short leash and really doesn't take rule-breaking well but it's nice to have a little privacy every now and then.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<ul>
<li><i>Title is from "Stargazing" by Kygo & Justin Jesso.</i></li>
<li><i>Ethan and Emily are really in no rush to "do the deed" so I didn't even have to make that up. I gave him a double bed since he's lucky enough to have a single room but they are obviously taking things slow. They still do plenty of ACR-induced romantic actions and roll wants for each other so I'm not worried about the state of their relationship.</i></li>
<li><i>Frieda's boyfriend (a dormie) didn't make an appearance in this update but that thing is still going strong too. Poor girl has had the want to throw a party for a long time but they all had the same stupid schedule of having their class from 7 pm to 10 pm. Not much chance for partying.</i></li>
<li><i>Next up is Sara's update (once I get it done). This'll be her last </i><i>solo one because I'm planning to move Riley into the same dorm with her.</i></li>

<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september001.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september001.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/brooke-harper.html">Brooke</a> and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/charlie-greene.html">Charlie</a> were thrilled to find out that Brooke is pregnant after they had been trying for over a year and were already going through fertility tests to see if there was a problem. They've just come to the hospital for the first ultrasound.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke is starting to worry that something is terribly wrong when Dr Williams keeps checking and checking the ultrasound and finally says she needs to consult another doctor. "Don't worry, everything is fine, I just need to check again to make sure..." she says and guides Brooke and Charlie back to the waiting room.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
After what felt like hours but was probably more like 5 minutes, Dr Williams calls Brooke and Charlie back to her office. "Sorry to keep you waiting" she says and then continues to deliver the news that have Brooke and Charlie frozen in their seats. "I wanted to make sure but there is no doubt about it: you're having triplets!"<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Dr Williams then continues to tell the surprised couple that it isn't such a big surprise that they have a multiple pregnancy seeing that it runs in their family on both sides. Understandably Brooke will be monitored very closely during this pregnancy and it's very likely that she won't make it full-term but it's nothing that the hospital can't handle. It's a lot to take in but Charlie assures Brooke that they can totally do this. They have the best experts to ask advice from because Charlie's parents have gone through the exact same thing!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Meanwhile in Allerdale Brooke's nephew <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/beck-robinson.html">Beck</a> is celebrating his first birthday. It's a small party with just the closest family members. <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/paige-harper.html">Paige</a> has gone back to work in the military and for <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/jack-robinson.html">Jack</a> the autumn is a busy time on the farm so a big party was out of the question. Beck's siblings <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/todd-robinson.html">Todd</a> and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/emma-robinson.html">Emma</a> are there of course and also aunt <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/frieda-robinson.html">Frieda</a> made it all the way from college just to celebrate Beck's big day.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/birthdays2027september006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Paige helps Beck just "a little bit" with the candles on the cake.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/BeckMaxwell1P.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/BeckMaxwell1P.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Beck looks a lot like his mother Paige except he has definitely gotten his his hair colour from grandma Amabelle and eye colour from grandma Olivia - just like big brother Todd.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/PaigeNatalie1P.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/PaigeNatalie1P.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Mom Paige as a toddler. Definitely Beck's nose and eye shape come from her.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/JackRamon1P.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/portraits/JackRamon1P.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Dad Jack as a toddler.<br />
<br />
<i>Notes:</i><br />
<ul>
<li><i>Triplets! I had decided that Brooke and Charlie would have a multiple pregnancy especially since I thought they'd probably have to get fertility treatment. But it makes sense anyway since Brooke is a twin and Charlie is a triplet and also Charlie's mom is a twin so it really runs in their families. I toyed with the idea of quadruplets but in the end decided against it. Mainly because I think they'd have to move if they had 4 babies at once - and I really don't want them to move.</i></li>
<li><i>The triplets are due in March 2028 but as said in the text above, Brooke might not carry full-term.</i></li>
<li><i>It's kind of hard to compare Beck and Jack because my default skintones in Jack's toddler days were so different. (I might age Jack down and get pictures of him with my current skintone at some point.) However I think it's quite clear that Beck definitely takes after Paige the most, he might have Jack's mouth but his eye shape and nose are Paige. BTW, grandpa Kurt also had blonde hair so Todd and Beck might have gotten their hair colour from either Kurt or Amabelle.</i></li>
</ul>

<b>Round 17: August 2027</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/deacon-burrows.html">Deacon Burrows</a> is 62, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/stella-harris.html">Stella Harris</a> is 63, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/minka-harris.html">Minka</a> is 9 and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/nick-harris.html">Nick</a> is 7.</i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays001.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays001.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
<br />
Narrated by Stella.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays002.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays002.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I've seriously cut down the amount of work I do. When I was younger I used to have projects lined up for months and months but now I'm very picky - especially when it comes to spending time away from home. What's even more wonderful is that finally Deacon feels the same way. We used to be so career-oriented that sometimes it feels strange to hang around the house during the day doing absolutely nothing. <br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We bought a vacation home sometime ago in Kalaupapa Island but we haven't had a change to spend any time there yet. Summer weather has been wonderful this year in Wellington so we decided to wait until August to go to the island. The house is right on the beach so the kids barely took a look around the house before they ran to the shore to swim in the ocean and build sandcastles.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We decided to skip out on checking out the old ruins during this visit since we're hoping to come back really soon but we thought it would be nice to check out some of the local culture. The kids were pretty excited about eating street food.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Deacon and I really enjoyed just taking it slow and sitting by the fire every night after the kids had gone to bed. The island weather is pretty warm so the fireplace can really only be used late at night after the sun has gone down and it gets a bit cooler. It's nice to unwind. We specifically didn't want a lot of electronics in the house in order to unwind. We made a little exception with the kids' playroom - it has a TV and a game console in case a rare rainy day comes along.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
The kids seem to prefer the outdoors anyway. Minka is especially fond of lying in a hammock just watching the clouds or reading a book.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Deacon insists that the kids put on sunscreen whenever we go outside. Too bad he doesn't do the same for himself. I kept telling him he would get a sunburn but did he listen to me? Of course not! I doubt that getting that hot stone massage made it any better although he did say that he felt very relaxed afterwards.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Nick on the other hand really loved the hot springs and he would soak there for a good amount of time and chat with the locals. He's such a lively little boy and gets along with everyone.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
While we did wander around the island a bit, mostly we stayed at the house. We could barely get the kids to sit inside for breakfast and other meals and then they were off to play in the sand and swim.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Minka insisted on painting so of course Deacon went out and bought an easel. I try to be the strict parent because the kids have totally wrapped Deacon around their little fingers. He wants to give them the world and I sometimes have to put my foot down and remind him that it's not good for them to get <i>everything </i>they want.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays011.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Their favourite thing during our visit was definitely swimming in the ocean. We have a pool at home but they said it's not the same. And I agree. There's just something so relaxing about being seaside.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays012.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I hadn't realized I had been a bit stressed but I felt so relaxed at the end of our visit. We definitely want to come back soon. The kids kept asking if we could come back next month but I reminded them that school starts soon. They are pretty excited about seeing all their friends again.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays013.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays013.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Poor Nick was absolutely exhausted when we finally got home. I could barely get him to brush his teeth before he put on his pajamas and went to bed. I checked on him 5 minutes later and he was already fast asleep.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays014.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/goodolddays014.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Minka managed to stay up long enough to have a little meal with Deacon but then he almost had to carry her upstairs because she was half asleep by the time they were finished. It was nice going away but it's so nice to be back home.<br />
<br />
<br />

<li><i>Title from "Good old days" by Macklemore feat. Kesha.</i></li>
<li><i>I had initially planned to do a very short update for this family but then I decided to take them out on vacation. Both Deacon and Stella had the want to buy a vacation home so I was going to let them - except then I noticed that Deacon already owns a vacation home! I honestly have no idea when he has bought one, LOL!</i></li>
<li><i>I'm trying to keep a steady flow of updates coming. The play schedule for this round is still up but I might end up making some changes in order to play faster.</i></li>
<li><i>You may have noticed I haven't linked to the last update on this or the last few updates. It's just too tedious and time-consuming to check out the links and then go back to the older posts. The best way to follow up on a specific sim is to click on their name in the tags which will give you all the posts they're featured in.</i></li>
<li><i>I'm still making some changes in the blog and moving things around so if you're reading older posts and the pictures aren't showing up then I apologize for the inconvenience, it's (at least supposed to be) just temporary. :)</i></li>

The school is out for summer but unfortunately Will couldn't get time off work. He has weekends off but on weekdays it's just me and the kids at home during the day.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We have a little pond in our backyard and the kids have been fishing there even though I'm quite sure there is no fish in the pond. So far they've managed to drag out a couple of old shoes but especially Jena is determined that she will catch a fish if she just keeps trying.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm turning 35 this month and was definitely not going to celebrate it in any way. The kids had other thoughts though. They said we should definitely get a cake and since money is a bit tight I decided to just bake one.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke is just about as excited to celebrate her 35th birthday than I am but she agreed to come over for coffee and cheese cake with Ava. The kids were a bit disappointed that my cake didn't have any candles but they soon forgot their disappointment when I handed out the pieces to everyone.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Our kids are older than Ava but it was good to see them all playing together on the activity table. The boys said they only did it because I told them to play with the girls but I think they were a bit too enthusiastic to be playing with blocks and drawing just to be nice.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke and Charlie have been trying for a baby over a year now and last month they went to see a doctor to see if anything is wrong. They haven't gotten back any conclusive results from the testing yet but now it seems they don't need to. Brooke told me she had done a home pregnancy test and it was positive! She still needs to confirm it with a doctor and obviously it's still very early stages but it really looks like she's pregnant.<br />

I couldn't be happier for them and I'm also touched that she told me - even though we usually tell each other everything. They're really not telling anyone at this point yet so besides her and Charlie, I'm the only one who knows.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke and Ava were heading back to Exmoor just as Will got home from work. I enjoy seeing my husband with a toddler but when it comes to having kids we are definitely done. There might have been a time when I thought we should have more children but I'm really happy with the way things are now.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile010.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile010.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Will had a little birthday surprise for me: he had gotten a babysitter and we went to have dinner in Exmoor at the Enigma restaurant.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile011.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile011.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
It definitely isn't in our budget to have champagne and dine at a fancy restaurant but I think it was worth it. And as Will said, I only turn 35 once.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile012.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile012.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We got back home quite late but Will still had to get up early to got to work. He still has 3 years to get promoted to Senior Officer and judging by the feedback he's gotten from his superiors (one of which is my sister) he'll most likely get promoted within a year or two.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile013.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile013.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Being self-employed has its perks. I get to spend some quality time with our kids. Connor still likes to snuggle on the sofa and watch movies with me. I can't believe he and Dane will start high school next year! I'm trying to cherish these moments because in a few years the boys are going to go off to college and after that it's only 4 more years before Jena leaves too.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile014.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile014.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I'm slowly starting my flower shop business. One of my first customers was mom who said she's really proud of me for finding my own thing and doing what I want with my life. Obviously during summer it's a bit tricky to keep the shop open because I often have to bring the kids with me but it'll get easier when school starts again in September.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile015.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile015.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I can't really manage the shop without help so I looked for someone who would take care of the cashier machine while I take care of everything else. I happened to mention it in passing on the phone with Erin and she said her daughter Iona was looking for a summer job now that she was old enough. I've known Iona since she was a kid and while she can be a bit brash at times I really like how she handles the customers.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile016.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile016.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
One day I took the kids out to eat at Café Carousel after we'd been at the shop all day. I really like what Dawn Whitfield has done to the place since taking over but I think it's a bit out of our price range now. It's nice to indulge a bit sometimes though and also give the kids some new experiences.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile017.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile017.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
They enjoy hanging out at home the most though. Having a pool and a big backyard means there's always something fun to do if the weather is nice and it really has been this summer so far. There haven't been many rainy days which is great because the kids tend to get a bit stir-crazy if they have to spend a lot of time indoors.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile018.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/onceinawhile018.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Their favourite part of the day is when Will gets home and they get to tell him all about their day. He will have some vacation days in August so the kids can have him all to themselves then.<br />
<br />

<li><i>Alexa's flower shop is up and running! I didn't make a lot of changes to the original lot but I might do a tour later. She needed someone to handle the cashier machine and I figured Iona would probably want to earn some cash.</i></li>
<li><i>Alexa and Will are definitely done with kids. They both have 3 as their ideal family size so while they woohoo a lot, they never try for a baby.</i></li>
<li><i>Brooke and Charlie on the other hand got pregnant right in the end when I was playing their household. It's not official news yet but the baby is due in March 2028.</i></li>
<li><i>This was Connor and Dane's last update as kids! Oh how the time flies...</i></li>

<i><a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/brooke-harper.html">Brooke Greene</a> is 35, <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/charlie-greene.html">Charlie</a> is 33 and <a href="http://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/ava-greene.html">Ava</a> is 3.</i><br />

Ava is now 3 years old and we'd really like to have another child. We've been trying for about a year now and so far it hasn't happened. We're both really close with our own siblings so it would be sad if Ava never got to be a big sister.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise003.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise003.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I feel Brooke is getting a bit desperate. She was the one who wanted to wait a while before we try for another baby and now she's convinced that we've waited too long. To be honest I'd be happy with just one kid if it means Brooke will stop being so stressed.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise004.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise004.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We finally decided we might need some help with getting pregnant after we'd been trying for about a year. We scheduled an appointment with Dr Williams. She ordered some tests for us both to help determine why we haven't been able to get pregnant. She told us we shouldn't worry and just keep trying during the testing. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise005.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise005.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We're trying to keep our mind off the whole baby-making thing so we've been just enjoying the nice summer weather by spending a lot of time outside. Our backyard is tiny but Ava really loves to play there. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise006.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise006.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
We've been living in this house for about 3 years and we love it so much. The backyard is really tiny so we haven't really decorated it at all except for Ava's toy box and a bench for us. <a href="https://wellingtonsims.blogspot.com/2007/12/alexa-harper.html">Alexa</a> has been pestering us about buying some flowerbeds or shrubs but honestly I think we'd be better of with plastic plants because neither of us knows anything about gardening.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise007.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise007.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Brooke's mom got married a few months ago. Brooke said it felt weird at first to see her mom with someone other than her dad but he's been gone for over 2 years now and Amabelle and Patrick seem very happy.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise008.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise008.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
Ava never got to meet her grandpa Chase but with my dad and Patrick she still has two doting grandfathers.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise009.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.wellingtonsims.com/round17/paradise009.jpg" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;" /></a></div>
I haven't given up hope of having another child but even if we never get there I'm really content with my life right now.<br />
<br />

<li><i>My first update since September 2018! A fairly short one but this is how it's most likely going to be from now on. I'm slowly getting back to simming and in order to make some progress, I'm making some changes in my play schedule. I haven't really figured everything out yet but I hope I can update more often (than once in 6 months).</i></li>
<li><i>Charlie and Brooke are </i>really <i>trying to get pregnant but so far no chime. I really hope they get another baby but if she doesn't get pregnant in the next few years I'll most likely make them adopt.</i></li>
