Notes:
- Title reference: Money for nothing by Dire Straits.
- I'm glad to see that it's not always the same households on the poorest list. And even when they end up on the poorest list they're not doing too bad.
- Liv Harris went from the poorest to the richest because she got her trust fund when she turned 25. Lucky girl.
Only last week, I've had one of the households in my neighbourhood pass the 1-million-Simoleons-mark for the first time. But everybody is generally way too righ in New Maximiliania; I think I should come up with a more realistic money system, too.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes manipulate the finances of my sims. For example the Burrows-Harris family wouldn't be so rich if I hadn't given them some extra money. It just made sense to make them the richest family with a huge house because he's a business tycoon and she's a famous actress. I have a lot of fees for my sims so not a lot of the families get to be really rich.

Wow, Liv is doing very well for herself now! Good on her.
ReplyDeleteI thought of her tonight, actually. I was watching one of those bridal shows and in the store, there was a sign that said "Liv Harris 12+" - Liv's real life counterpart designs wedding gowns!
Yup, Liv's financial situation has definitely improved. She did stuggle with money after graduation so I'm kind of happy that she's doing so well now.
DeleteI've been meaning to google to see if my sims have real life counterparts. That's so cool that the real Liv Harris works on a creative career as well.

It's nice seeing where the families rank for wealth, and super nice for Liv to have that inheritance, that really bumped her right on up! And your poorest sims aren't doing too terribly ether.
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy that I don't have any really poor households at the moment. While they're interesting and add variety it's also sometimes really struggling and frustrating to play them.
