Eve and Gabriel have just met with Dr Williams and have gotten the first glimpse of their baby on the ultrasound. They weren't actively trying to get pregnant but they weren't exactly actively trying not to get pregnant either. They both agree that it's nice that Drake and his sibling - who is due in November - won't have a huge age difference. They also agree that it's time to really start looking for a house because the apartment is getting a bit small for them with the addition of another baby.

Erin and Toby have come to the hospital for an ultrasound for her third trimester. It has been an anxiety-ridden pregnancy for Erin due to her devastating miscarriage a year earlier. Luckily Dr Williams is able to give them some good news - everything seems to be fine.

Ava Greene turns 4 this year. She's really excited about starting school but she's even more excited about becoming a big sister. Her mommy has three babies in her belly and they'll be born any minute now.

Malia Newman has passed the 12-week mark on her pregnancy so she and Greg have told their closest ones that they're expecting. Iona couldn't be more excited - she's going to get two new siblings this year!

Erin and Toby Parker are thrilled to be able to finally tell everyone about Erin's pregnancy now that she has passed 12 weeks. 4-year-old Naomi is very excited about becoming a big sister. The baby is due in May 2028.

Erin still can't help but worry a little after the devastating miscarriage she suffered just last December. She is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure this pregnancy goes smoothly so she is planning to talk to her boss about doing less hours at the office.

Brooke and Charlie were thrilled to find out that Brooke is pregnant after they had been trying for over a year and were already going through fertility tests to see if there was a problem. They've just come to the hospital for the first ultrasound.

Tom Patterson has been in this situation two times before - waiting for his baby to be born - but it doesn't get any easier to see Dixie in pain. It feels like she's been in labour for hours and hours and he's beginning to think that something might be wrong. However Dr. Williams is the epitome of calm and assures Tom that everything is going very well.

Dixie doesn't particularly enjoy this part of pregnancy but she's been here before so she's just trying to relax and breath. "Come on Tom, just hold my hand and think of the end result" Dixie says and Tom swallows his fears and does as he's told. Once things start happening, they happen quite fast and soon Dixie and Tom welcome their baby boy into the world

Dixie's pregnancy has advanced to third trimester. Liana can't wait for the baby to arrive. She's hoping for a little brother since she already has a little sister. She's a bit disappointed when her mom explains to her that they can't really choose whether it's a boy or a girl.

Liana still wants to know everything about babies and where they come from. Dixie tries to distract her by reading her a book but the questions are neverending. Finally Dixie tells Liana to ask her dad because she's running out of things to say.

• Just a little birthday update. The baby is due in June 2027 so Dixie and Tom still have a lot of time to answer all of Liana's questions, LOL.

Dixie and Tom had talked about a third child but they weren't actively trying so baby #3 comes as a bit of a surprise. It doesn't really matter though because they are extremely happy and can't wait to see whether their daughters Liana and Janelle will get a baby sister or brother. The baby is due in June 2027.

Dixie doesn't remember having any specific cravings during her previous pregnancies but now all she wants to eat is anything spicy and hot. Tom tries not to complain but it gets a bit boring to have chili con carne for every meal.

It's a month before Paige Robinson's due date but she and her husband have come to the hospital due to Paige having contractions. Nurse Holt tries to assure Jack that there's nothing to worry about.

Paige Robinson's pregnancy was difficult at first but by the third trimester she's started feeling really well. She was put on maternity leave quite early on due to cramping and at first she was a bit lost with what to do with all the free time. Now she's learned to appreciate it because she gets to spend so much time with her kids Emma and Todd while husband Jack works in the garden.

Eve and her boyfriend Gabriel are ready to welcome their baby into the world. Eve is feeling surprisingly well considering that she's been in labour for a few hours now. Maybe the torture she puts her body through as a ballet dancer helps with the labour pains. Gabriel just tries to support his girlfriend the best he can.

The initial shock of the surprise pregnancy has worn off and Paige and Jack are excited about welcoming baby #3 into the world. Paige's pregnancy is showing so they've told their kids Todd and Emma who are very happy to get a little sister or brother in a few months.

Eve Midlock has pretty much come to terms with the idea of becoming a mother in a few months. Her roommate Lilly is ok with living with an infant so Eve has decided to stay put and not make any decisions about the future before the birth of her child.

Janelle Patterson celebrates her first birthday and has turned out to be the spitting image of her father Tom.

Notes:

• Eve's third trimester update comes a month early but it seemed reasonable to combine these two short updates into one. I decided to keep Eve living in the apartment with Lilly for now. I'll promote Gabriel (baby daddy) to a playable NPC but I honestly don't know what to do with these two yet.
• I don't care that Janelle looks exactly like Tom because she looks so cute anyway. I always find it hard to choose a hairstyle for a toddler because very long and full hair doesn't seem too realistic for a 1-year-old but I've thrown caution to the wind and just choose whatever I like.

Eve Midlock's pregnancy was a huge shock for her and her boyfriend Gabriel. The timing is definitely not perfect but is it ever? They've decided to make the best out of the situation and after the initial shock are quite happy to become parents.
