It's tax season in the Wellington District. This time the residents pay 10% of their total household value after deductions.
Here's a rundown of the richest and poorest families.
The richest
1. Burrows-Harris: 1.672,868
2. Greene 1: 151,169
3. Hayes-Marlowe 1: 96,184
The poorest
1. Cooper 3: -9,605
2. Midlock 1: -3,009
3. Harris 1: 1,041
Notes:
- Title reference: Money for nothing by Dire Straits.
- Liv Harris on the poorest list! But not for long. She's turning 25 this year and will finally get access to her trust fund which will probably put her in the top 3 richest list.
- The Cooper and Midlock families are among the poorest because they both have huge mortgages.
Liv is really going to appreciate that trust fund, after struggling the way she has. Hopefully it's taught her to manage her money sensibly, so she won't blow her trust fund on something silly. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. She's really been struggling but maybe she can use some of the money to publish her debut album or something. I haven't really decided what to do with the money yet.
DeleteThanks for reading. :)
That money will really come in handy for Liv's career. Hopefully she won't blow it all.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to see what'll happen when I finally start taxes. My sims have a few more months of living tax free since I deemed 2013 as the first tax year.
I really hope all these years living hand to mouth has made Liv learn that she shouldn't blow all that money on something stupid.
DeleteI collect taxes every two years but it's been four years since the last tax season. I've been building like crazy so the treasury was getting quite empty. No more tax free rounds for my sims anymore!
Thanks for reading. :)
Reading this post, makes me realise that I haven't done taxes since ... well I can't remember when I did them last :) I think I will do them again in a few rounds.
ReplyDeleteI think Liv is really looking forward to getting her trust fund, she has been struggling, but that makes you appriciate it even more, I think.
I try to keep it real so the city can't be developped unless my sims pay taxes. For every new building, I deduct the value from the treasury.
DeleteLiv can't wait to get her hands on that trust fund, lol. She definitely wants to move to a bigger apartment and also get her career started for real.
Thanks for reading. :)
