Ross came out to Maddy and his parents in January. It didn't take long for him to tell me either although I had kind of figured out that he liked boys. I've had a huge crush on him for about two years so when he told me that he's gay I felt like my chance had finally come.

Max and I are in a really good place right now. We both work a lot less and have more time for each other. Max decided to retire from the TV show and concentrate on Music Maximum. I only work three days a week now so we have plenty of time to spend together.

We're all a bit worried about mom. She has been suffering from insomnia since dad passed away. Sometimes she goes to the swimming pool in the middle of the night, just floating on her back and looking at the stars. She says it calms her down enough so she can get a few hours of sleep.

I've been trying to convince Jack for months that he needs to hire someone to help on the farm. I have a full-time job, Todd's too young and Frieda's getting ready for college. So many nights I go to bed, fall asleep and then wake up without him there. Then I go downstairs and see that he's fallen asleep on the sofa.

Brooke has been pretty tense lately. I thought it might be because of work but one day during dinner she finally blurted out that she wants children.

"You mean right now?" I asked. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. Then she got up from the table and went to do the dishes. Apparently my attempt to humor wasn't so impressive to her. I've always thought that children are a definite part of our future. I guess she needed me to say it out loud.

We moved into a new house this summer. It all started when we wanted to extend the porch in the back of the mansion. We called Ben Cooper and asked him to draw something. He came to see us and checked out the house and found a huge crack in the foundation. He then did some further research and found out that the whole foundation was completely rotten. There was really nothing to be done. The whole house could've collapsed any minute and wasn't safe to live in anymore. Ben said that it would be easier to build a new house than to fix the old one. We didn't want to lose the land so we decided to tear down the old house and build the new one on the same spot. So we lived in an apartment for a few months and let Ben's company do the dirty work.

Dad was pretty crushed because he had hoped that we could keep the mansion in the family for future generations. I was quite sad too but I have to say that I really love our new house. It has so much light and it's much more practical compared to the mansion. And it's the perfect size for our family too.

Will and I have been trying for a baby for some time now but so far I haven't become pregnant. I guess we just assumed that it would be as easy as it was with Connor and Dane. I'm not worried though. I'm still young and there's obviously no medical reason why I couldn't get pregnant.

I think my college professors would be very surprised to see how well my career is building up. I've left the horoscopes and obituaries behind and now I'm working as an investigatory journalist. I've been lucky but I've also worked really hard for the past two years. I managed to dig up a really juicy story about a settled basketball match and that was my ticket to a better position.

I sometimes work at home but I usually get distracted. Alexa is often online now that she's home with the babies so we chat quite often. I completely fell apart the last time I was home. I've kept everything inside for so long that it was bound to happen. I actually felt better afterwards and Alexa also gave me some good advice. I know I have to be the one to make the first move if I want to get Charlie back.
