I released my debut album last year and I've been touring a lot. It's actually pretty exhausting to be on the road confined on a bus - I'm not big enough to fly to places - and eventually all hotel rooms start to look the same. It can also get a bit lonely. Obviously I have the band but after a while on the road you get kind of sick spending every moment of your day with the same people. Usually by the time I get to the hotel I just lounge around in my pajamas and call home.

I bought this house earlier this year. I gained access to my trust fund when I turned 25 but it took a long time to find the perfect house because I knew exactly what I wanted. This house just clicked the moment I walked in. I had the floors replaced and the walls painted before I moved in. At first it felt a bit weird to have so much space for myself because I had lived in that tiny apartment ever since I graduated but I really love living here.

One of the best things I know nowadays is being greeted at the gate to our house by Minka when I come home from work. "Daddy, you're home!" she shouts and throws her arms around my neck. It took months before she started calling me Daddy so it's like winning the lottery every time I hear it.

Liv Harris, 27, has worked long and hard for a break in the music business and it seems that she's finally going to make it. She's become an internet phenomenom after she started posting her songs on SimTube. In January she released her debut EP consisting of four original songs and the title track Big Heart has slowly but surely climbed into the Top 5 on the Singles Chart. Now she's recording her debut album which is scheduled for release sometime in the Autumn.

Finn and I have been talking a lot about where we're going to live next year. Shea will turn 4 and start pre-school and we both want her to go to Allerdale Elementary instead of some other school. It'll be a long bus ride every day and one of us will have to take her there and back. Finn's parents suggested that we could move in with them but to me the idea of living with my in-laws isn't very appealing and Finn's not too thrilled about it either.

I know that Liv and Finn were quite shocked at first about our plans to adopt a child but they've been really supportive. In a way it feels like we've gotten closer during the process.

I still can't believe we're getting two children. They're a sister and a brother, a 5-year-old girl called Mariya and a 3-year-old boy called Nikolai. They've been living in a foster home for the past few months and we've met them a few times. They're quite reserved but according to the social worker that's quite normal. It's our main goal now to get them to trust us and open up to us.

Toby moved in with me and Iona about a year ago and it's been going really great. It was a bit strange at first because I had gotten so used to living alone with Iona but I wouldn't have it any other way now. Iona's excited to have her favorite chess partner living with us all the time.

Finn told us a couple of months ago that he's not going to college at all. We were hoping he'd want a higher education but he's set his goal on the culinary career and says that at this point a college degree would be useless for him. He says that he can always get the college degree later in his life if he feels like it. He's still working hard to get good grades though so we can't really complain much. He also got an after school job at Café Carousel.

I travel to Wellington almost every weekend and I usually stay at Niall's apartment. We had a big conversation about our relationship some time ago. I've wanted us to be exclusive for some time but I've been too chicken to ask him what he thinks. Then I finally built up the courage and said that I don't want us to see other people. He said that it's fine by him. So I guess it means that we've taken one little step toward a real commitment.

Danny was put on academic probation last year because he got such poor grades on all his exams. He was already considering dropping out and getting a job but I suggested that maybe he should consider changing his major instead. I've never really understood why he chose art history in the first place. He's much more interested in commercial art and has been talking about wanting a career in graphic design after graduation.

My parents bought me a guitar for my 20th birthday. It was also a reward for completing my sophomore year with a 3.9 GPA. A couple of guys have a band on campus and they asked me to join them. I'm now the lead singer and guitarist. I changed my hairstyle to match my new rockstar lifestyle.

Mom and dad gracefully allowed me to rent a house on campus. Dad was very reluctant at first but honestly, there really weren't any real rules at the dorm so it's not like I couldn't get myself in trouble there as well. Everyone else moved out so I didn't wanna live alone with the weirdos.

Toby and I have been dating for about a year now but we're still taking things slow. We haven't even slept together yet! We get to spend more time together now that Greg has moved back to Wellington and Iona spends some time at his apartment too. I usually ride the bus to Exmoor with Iona and then continue to Wellington where Toby lives.
