Dixie and Tom Patterson are waiting for the elevators in the hospital lobby to take them to the maternity ward.
As hours go by Tom is trying his best to make Dixie feel as comfortable as possible. He rubs her back, brings her ice chips and just holds her hand.
Doctor Williams comes into the room and tells them that it's time!
It's a girl! Dixie and Tom are amazed by their little daughter Liana Priscilla.
Dixie can't stop staring at her beautiful baby girl. She can't believe that she and Tom created something so beautiful together.
Extras:
Liana has black hair and brown eyes.
Notes:
- Another girl! I was kind of hoping that Dixie and Tom would get a boy but on the other hand I really liked the name I had picked for a girl so I was glad to be able to use it.
- I'm probably going to promote Greg and Malia to playables. They're a nice couple and it would be great to see this side of Iona's family a bit more. I'll most likely add them to the play schedule next round.
Very sweet, this little girl! How do you choose the names? In New Maximiliania, I usually opt for a name that begins with the same letter as the surname. For pets, it often is a name that starts with the same letter than the mother dog or cat, or, when I know there will be many litters of puppies and kittens (such as when a Sim has the LTW to raise 20), the first litter's names begin with A, the second with B, and so on.
ReplyDeleteFor the first-born I just try to pick something that I think the parents would choose and also a name that sounds nice with the surname. I used a random name generator before. For younger siblings I use nymbler.com. For pets I just pick something that sounds like it could be a pet's name, lol.
DeleteI've always been interested in names and their meanings so it's quite fun to pick the name for the first-born of each family.
Thanks for reading. :)
Aww, such a cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteYes, she is!
DeleteThanks for reading. :)
Aw, welcome baby Liana! I love the pose you used for Tom while Dixie was in labour - is that the "Check Out" animation?
ReplyDeleteSo excited for Greg and Malia's baby. And it would definitely be nice to see them as playables too, if it's not going to overload your play schedule!
Tom was doing the heart farts for Dixie and I just hit "freeze me" on the clock! Sometimes my sims do everything right, lol.
DeleteI think Greg and Malia will fit nicely into my play schedule because I currently have just one family per every month except for university and school updates. I've been wanting to make them playables for a long time so I thought why not.
Thanks for reading. :)
Malia and Gregg are nice looking couple and their daughter, Iona, is too adorable. How sweet of Tom to massage his wife’s back before she goes into labor. Liana Priscilla is a beautiful name. You definitely come up with such great names and I like her yellow outfit.
ReplyDeleteTom is quite a sweet man in general. I'm glad you like the name Liana Priscilla, I thought it sounds very pretty. I'm a total baby name freak, I love to read what each name means etc.

Welcome baby Liana! I love her name and can't wait to see what she looks like as a tot already! Looking forward to seeing Malia and Greg's baby and to see their first update.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to wait that year to see what the babies look like as toddlers. I can't wait to see Malia and Greg's baby either. Their first update is quite faraway, I'm not planning to add them to my play schedule until next round.
DeleteThanks for reading. :)
Welcome litte Liana! I do like the name you picked as well, and who knows, maybe next time they'll have boy :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to see Greg and Malia a little bit more, especially now that they are having a baby :)
I've been thinking about doing the same for some of my playable NPC's, but I already have quite a lot of playables at the moment :)
I'm definitely hoping Tom and Dixie have a boy next time (if they have more children) because if all my sims keep having girls then I'll have a total girl overload, lol.
DeleteI'm thinking that I might turn some empty-nesters into semi-playables meaning that I might not write an update for them but would include them in their children's update or something like that. That way I could keep my playables at a manageable size.
