White bird

Round 5: 1996-2000

Bobbie and Alexander Greene have their hands full with four kids. Their apartment is getting too small so they decide to look for a house. They find the perfect house in Allerdale, next door to Bobbie's sister Vicki and her family.

Patsy was a bit confused at first to meet her siblings. The house seemed to be full of babies all of a sudden! She proves she's a good big sister though by showing some affection to her little brother Charlie.

Bobbie feels like she should have eyes in her back. The moment she's not looking Charlie crawls outside and then cries because it's raining and he's getting wet. And naturally Dixie and Janie follow her outside when she goes to pick up Charlie.

Sleep is a luxury with four toddlers in the house. Bobbie decides to take a little nap on the floor but soon the kids are crawling all over her wanting to play with mommy.

Bobbie and Alex finally call the nanny and hire her for a few hours. They're not going out though, they just want to sleep without having to wake up every other minute.

Luckily Patsy has her 5th birthday so she will start school. That's one less toddler to feed and take to potty.

First words, first steps... The Greene family home looks like a little boot camp for toddlers. Bobbie and Alex wanted to get rid of the diaper circus first so the triplets already know their way around the potty area. The walking and talking is much more fun for both the kids and the parents.

Bobbie buys a few big floor pillows so that the kids can take a nap whenever they want. That way she doesn't have to carry them upstairs to their cribs everytime they're tired.

Alex wants to hear everything about Patsy's first day in school. He also helps her with the homework.

The espresso machine has become Bobbie's best friend during the past few days. She swears she'll never drink coffee after the triplets start school.

Alex uses alternative methods to gain more energy. He's really into yoga and practices whenever he has some time.

A rare peaceful moment in the Greene household: Dixie and Charlie are playing with their toys and Janie is taking a nap.

The yoga sessions are obviously working as Alex is chosen the MVP of the league. Not bad for a 47-year-old! He's even more thrilled when Bobbie comes home an hour later and tells that she's been promoted to Architectural Partner.

The triplets have their 5th birthday so life should get a bit easier from now on.

  • I apologize for the very boring update. Nothing really happened besides the toddler mania. I'm happy it's over now. I don't think I've ever had such an exhausting play session LOL.

  1. I got tired just reading it! One of my Sims once got sextuplets through a glitch but playing them to teen did not make me feel like parenting multi-child households was any easier!

Do you mind if I ask where you got the crib in the picture of the nanny? I've never seen that before and I'm going nursery shopping today. ;)

  2. I think I'm going to take out the triplets&quadruplets hack. I didn't enjoy playing today at all. Though I do love the triplets, they're so cute!

I don't mind at all about the "where did you get..." questions! Go ahead and ask whenever you want to :) Anyways, the crib is from Holy Simoly, I think it's a donation gift.

  3. Thanks!

I only keep the T&Q hack in for the ability to assign parental leave to the father or the mother. I never used any of the other features!

  4. I don't know why but my cursor seems to always go to the "random" button when I get the pop-up LOL I do love the ability to choose which parent stays home with the kids. I just have to learn not to hit random.

  5. I like kids, I really do, but I've made a rule for no more than two kids per family in my hood. No triplets or more for me!

I'm surprised your sims didn't go into aspiration failure - when all they do is take care of toddlers, I've had plenty of sims sink into depression!

  6. Wow, I can imagine how exhausted you were after playing through that house! I get tired just trying to handle twins. ;) I'm glad Bobbie and Alex made it through okay, and even managed to get promotions during this time!

  7. I recently discovered the whole "toddler napping on pet pillow" trick as well. It's great! Where did you get your recolors?
