Dixie and Tom had talked about a third child but they weren't actively trying so baby #3 comes as a bit of a surprise. It doesn't really matter though because they are extremely happy and can't wait to see whether their daughters Liana and Janelle will get a baby sister or brother. The baby is due in June 2027.

Dixie doesn't remember having any specific cravings during her previous pregnancies but now all she wants to eat is anything spicy and hot. Tom tries not to complain but it gets a bit boring to have chili con carne for every meal.

We'd been struggling financially ever since we moved into the house in Exmoor. No matter what we did, we just couldn't seem to pay off much of our huge mortgage and the situation started to take its toll on everything - our relationship, our kids, our work, everything.

It felt like we were heading towards a break-up because we were both so stressed out. I ended up sleeping on the sofa more nights that I care to think about because I just didn't want to go upstairs in case Janie was still awake and we'd end up fighting. We finally sat down and had a talk and came to the conclusion that we have to find a cheaper place to live.

Café Carousel has been one of the most popular restaurants in Wellington for 20 years. Now Jackie Whitfield has stepped down as the head chef and it is time for her daughter Dawn to take over. Dawn and her team have worked day and night and the restaurant is ready for re-opening.

I've been kind of slacking my way through school for the past two years since I started high school but I try much harder now that I kind of know what I want to do when I grow up. I think I want to become an architect but I need good grades to get into uni. Dad's really happy that I want to follow in his footsteps and mom just happy that I'm interested in my homework for a change.

I've been trying very hard to concentrate on my studies but I'm very easily distracted with thoughts of Emily. It feels weird to feel this way about her because we've been friends for so long and she used to be my brother's girlfriend.

Little update on what's going on

I don't know if anyone follows this blog anymore since it's been inactive for months but Wellington is still alive. I just haven't loaded my game for months because I've been so busy with a full-time job and my first semester as a uni student. 

The good news is I'm almost done with my first semester (just one more course to finish, yay) and I don't have any courses scheduled for summer. This means I might actually have some time to play! I miss my sims so much but I feel that I've missed the sims community even more. Hopefully from now on I can schedule in a little simming even after my courses start in the autumn.

After four years of dorm life I really enjoy my own apartment and the privacy of it. Even if I'm not the greatest cook it's still great sitting down for breakfast or lunch and not having to listen to a bunch of insane dorm mates either getting into fights or flirting with each other or me.

Cal and I are finally in the clear after years and years of financial struggles. To me the biggest luxury is to be able to pay the rent without worries and help our children if they need something. Dining at the finest restaurants is a nice bonus but being stress-free is the best thing.
